Giving Back - Black History Mindfulness Club’s Free Little Library

On this Giving Back Tuesday, we want to shine a light on a very special collaboration, the Free Little Library in our front yard lifting Black Voices and Black Authors, brought to our space thanks to the wonderful work of the Black History Mindfulness Club!

The BHMC was created by two local mothers, Tesa Morse and Nicole Reed, who brought their families and dreams together to create a voice for Black Lives in the community and an important educational resource for all.

“We, The Black History Mindfulness Club, strive to provide a platform for knowledge, legacy and mindfulness in black history and education. We hope to bring actions, and conversations around the needs for changes in racial injustices and inequality.”

The Co-Lab is honored to be one of three Tacoma locations for these libraries, in addition to Fern & Foster and Black Owned Business Campfire Coffee!

How can you help?! The BHMC is not yet a non-profit, but does need help from the community to grow, fund future libraries and support the regular restocking of books! Every dollar counts toward this great cause! Lift Black voices, Black authors, Black culture and antiracism!
