If you are:

  1. 9 years or older

  2. Enjoy working with younger children

  3. Can follow directions and take
    responsibility seriously

  4. Interested in gaining early teaching
    and leadership experience

We have a summer opportunity just for you! Brand new this year, our Junior Camp Counselor Program is designed for kids who love working with younger children, are responsible, and are curious about what it’s like to help teach, guide, and support a group.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Mon-Fri 9am-4pm | $175 per week

*JR. COUNSELORS’ CAMP DAY - 9AM to 4PM

With guidance from teachers, Junior Camp Counselors may:

  • Read books to campers

  • Help run art projects and games

  • Support campers during snack and lunch

  • Model kindness, patience, and cooperation

  • Assist with transitions and group activities

Junior Camp Counselors are helpers and role models, not staff. Teachers remain responsible for supervision, behavior management, and safety.

What Will Junior Camp Counselors Do During Camp?

Junior Camp Counselors will attend TWO training sessions where they will learn:

  • What is expected of them during camp 

  • How to support younger children during activities

  • What responsibilities should be handled by teachers instead

  • How to ask for help and communicate needs clearly

  • Games to play with campers and songs to sing

These sessions help ensure Junior Camp Counselors feel confident, prepared, and supported.

+ Multiple training dates and times will be offered to accommodate family schedules

+ No additional cost for training sessions.

June Training Sessions

Perks & Appreciation

Each Junior Camp Counselor will receive:

  • A special Junior Camp Counselor t-shirt

  • A $5 “thank you” gift card to a local small business

  • An end-of-summer pizza party with fellow Junior Camp Counselors

  • Letters of recommendation for babysitting and mothers helpers may be available for exceptional Junior Camp Counselors

Program Cost:

  • $175 per week
    *No additional cost for June Training Sessions

  • Attend TWO training sessions in June

  • Register for one or more camps (below)
